ADDL (Association pour la défense des droits et des libertés) is a Lebanese non-profit organization founded in 1995 by Lebanese lawyers and jurists. Its mission statement is to promote and defend Fundamental Freedoms and Human Rights in Lebanon and to denounce violations of these rights. ADDL has opted to seek the fulfillment of these goals through the use of available legal channels, mainly the judiciary. ADDL was mainly active in the promotion of the « Right of Association ». In cooperation with the World Bank and Bunian program, ADDL has launched the Arab Initiative for the Freedom of Association (Arabifa). In addition, ADDL has published two books in this respect, targeting Freedom of Association in Lebanon and in the Arab countries
